How These Shoes Bring Me Back in Time!
Frantic "spring" cleaning can unearth treasures. For my part, my treasure trove happens to be several pairs of baby shoes stored lovingly in their boxes after the tiny feet they ensconced became less tiny. Forgotten in the basement storage, they survived the elements (i.e., time which is circa 20 or so years, and the dank atmosphere there.)
.
I look at the shoes and remember the two lovely and lively babies that owned these shoes.
Precious Firstborn owned the pair below. The bright and vibrant colors attest to her fiery temperament and stubbornness. She loved these shoes, but she gladly passed them on to Baby Brother when time came for his feet to fit into them.
His very own white leather pair - worn when he did not walk yet - is a harbinger of his current taste in clothes and shoes. Gee, the soles of those shoes are immaculate!
It seems almost impossible how once upon a time, they had tiny feet that fit into these baby shoes.
