Somewhere in the hills just outside Rome is this very unique coffee bar. It is on the way to Velletri, just by the turn to Nemi. We happened on this bar by chance when the London Boy was here last.
I was attracted by the very rustic confections of marmalade and honey of every kind. I was enthralled by the quaint coffee cups with the notable quotes - each one different on every cup. Indeed, a very lovely bar...serving excellent cappuccino...and one with a clean bathroom.
Today I discovered their lovely cream tarts studded with the miniature strawberries that Nemi is famous for. Absolutely delicious.
The Hubby discovered some ceramic sugar bowl, creamer, tray and coffee spoons with strawberry design that were being sold for 20% less. Naturally, he bought them all. (I should add photos of his purchases.)
This time we did not forget to take photos of the display case that fascinated (and startled) the London Boy the first time we chanced upon this coffee bar. The display case held replicas of memorabilia of Il Duce.
